Jordan Program: 6 Nights – 7 Days

Day 1: Amman

Amman Queen Alia International Airport or Sheikh Hussein Bridge – Amman Hotel (D) 40 KM

Start with your arrival to Amman, the capital of Jordan, meet and assist service for visa formalities, and proceed with a transfer to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel and overnight accommodation.

Day 2: Amman

Amman Panoramic Tour – Jerash – Ajloun – Amman (B, D) 155 KM

After breakfast in the hotel, begin your day with a Panoramic Tour and visit of Amman; known anciently as Philadelphia. Visit the Citadel including the temple of hercules, the Roman Theater, walk thru its traditional markets (souqs), local churches, and mosques for example: King Abdullah Blue Mosque next to the Parliament. Head to the new modern city with its residential neighborhood.

Proceed to Jerash, one of the most complete and best-preserved cities of the Roman Empire, walk through its streets, theaters, temples and other places like the Great Colonnade Street, Arc of Triumph, the Oval Plaza, and the Temples of Zeus and Artemis.

Continue to Ajloun Castle, a fortress of the Ayoubi’s located on top of the mountain with beautiful views, built in 1185 A.C. and was rebuilt in the 13th century by the Mamluks after its destruction by the Mongols.

Return to Amman, have your dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 3: Amman

Amman – Desert Castles – Dead Sea – Bethany – Amman (B, D) 325 KM

Start your day with breakfast in Amman hotel then head to the Islamic Castles of the Desert – UNESCO Heritage, which were built between the 7th and 8th centuries.

Visit Amra Castle, former summer palace containing unique Islamic frescoes; Al-Kharaneh Castle, old Roman fort. After this you will visit the Roman fort of Azraq which was built in black volcanic stone.

Descend to the lowest place on earth, and the world’s first natural spa, undoubtedly an unforgettable experience, the Dead Sea and desert of Moab. Have free time to swim in its therapeutic waters, enjoy the facilities of private beach and pool area.

Visit Bethany, the pilgrimage area declared by the Vatican during the visit of John Paul II in 2000 to Jordan, located in the East bank of the Jordan River as the place where Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist.

Return to Amman. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Petra

Amman – Madaba – Mount Nebo – Karak o Shobak – Petra (B, D) 290 KM

Breakfast at the hotel then head to visit Madaba, the City of Mosaics, to visit the Saint George Church’s map of the Holy Land in 571 A.D. Continue to Mount Nebo, known as the tomb of Moses to visit its Franciscan Church, reaching the top for an astounding view of the Jordan Valley.

Proceed to the city of Karak through the Kings’ Highway, visit its fortress which was built between 1110 and 1143 A.C. by the Templers during the Crusades, which was colonized later by Saladin.

Pursue to Petra, have your dinner and overnight accommodation at your hotel.

Day 5: Petra

Petra Hotels (B, D) 5 – 10 KM

Breakfast at your Petra hotel. Your day will start in one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Nabatean red rose city of Petra, which was carved out of rock over 2000 years ago.

Access the city through its entrance, narrow gorge (Siq) of 1.2 kilometers from there then continue to reach the impressive monumental Treasury (El Khazneh) which was believed to hold countless treasures. The first view of the breath-taking Treasury called (El Khazneh) in Arabic is simply impressive. Other monuments you will visit are the Theatre, the Byzantine Church, and the Royal Tombs.

You have the choice to climb up to the Monastery or Altar of Sacrifice, if you still have time, on your own. Also, an optional visit of Petra Museum on your behalf, if time permits.

Back to the hotel, have your dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 6: Amman

Petra – Wadi Rum – Aqaba – Amman (B, D) 550 KM

Start your day with a hotel breakfast. Take your route towards Wadi Rum desert, the place where some popular scenes have taken from movies like the film Lawrence of Arabia, The Martian by Matt Damon, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. This red desert sand in which granite mountains rise, and peak of red and gold colors penetrate the scenery; is one of the most spectacular settings in the Middle East. You can have a tour on a 4×4 local jeep of approximately 2 hours (Optional additional hours apply by request).

 

Head to Aqaba Jordan’s only exit to the Red Sea, you will have a free time either in the city or on the beach. The beaches are private. Usually, the entrance to the beach is not included. Aqaba is known for its red one-of-a-kind corals. Drive back to Amman.

Have your last dinner of your enjoyable day and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Queen Alia International Airport

Transfer to Amman Queen Alia Airport (D) 40 KM

Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to Queen Alia International Airport for departure.
