Bedouin Bread Making

There are several types of bread that Bedouins make, including shraak and arbood. This experience gives visitors the opportunity to learn more about them from a Bedouin woman.

What you’re going to do

  • Guests are greeted at the site of the Disi Women Cooperative or at a location overlooking the mountains of Rum. The visitors will watch sunset in the desert.
  • The experience will start by preparing the dough from local wheat flour and baking it over wood fire.
  • Then, guests will be trained on how to shape and bake the dough.
  • Tea will be offered with the bread during the tasting.
